Short Documentaries

Having developed an interest in political activism over many years, I became increasingly shocked and disappointed by how little coverage even major protests and marches would get in the media. Any coverage that I did see was often heavily distorted and skewed towards a particular narrative. It was at this point that I decided to start filming the events that I attended. My aim with these films was never to interview people and find out what they were thinking or feeling. That, to me, felt self-evident. The aim was purely to document the people themselves and the mood of the event. To capture the placards, the chants, and the speeches. To give a sense of what it felt to be there in that moment.
